Oh, Valentine’s Day! From the cute little cards schoolchildren pass to classmates, to the sweet gestures friends exchange, to loving and sometimes grand romantic gestures, Valentine’s Day is the day humans choose to make their feelings of love and affection known.  When is Dog Valentine’s Day?  It’s Tuesday and Wednesday and every other day!!  Dogs don’t need a special day on the calendar!  Dogs unabashedly show their affections every day! Dog owners never have to doubt how much they are loved and adored by their dogs!

Ready for a little more love in your life?  Get a dog!  The HSWC has many wonderful dogs just waiting for the right human to come along!  Like humans, dogs have limitations, but, expressing their affections is not one of them!

Photo of Lyla #3

Lyla is a super sweet girl who craves human affection.  She loves people and gets very attached. She also loves to run in the yard and play with toys, but after play time, she just wants to spend time with her special person. She is not the dog for someone who craves solitude, as she will want to be constantly by your side.

Thunder is a 70+ pound hunk of burning love!  He loves to play in the yard and entertains himself with the plastic indestructible balls. This clever boy pushes them around with his nose and toes!

Photo of Dash #2

Dash, beauty and brains all rolled into one!  At about a year old, this super smart gentle boy loves throwing stuffed animals around—or letting your throw them for him!   After he burns some energy, he is ready to sit with you and just hug and love. Then he is ready for the next round of play!
